how do i change lodbias for opengl using rivatuner? on the "main" tab my opengl button is blanked. directx works fine and i can adjust lodbias there to -2 (which helps alot in counterstrike when fsaa is on). i also checked power user and there's a lodbiasrange. I can set it to zero. but anything negative it goes into hex. So i cancelled the setting.

question is how can i set lodbias to -2 in opengl?

thx

U can't change LodBias in OpenGL. Nvidia drivers don't support it.

Which I always find strange, because you could adjust the LOD bias in OGL FSAA in several series of drivers. If you can do that, then surely they should be able to allow it with a slider similar to the DX one.
Mipmap LOD Bias like in D3d is a total different dish than FSAA Lod bias that was implemented in some of the fsaa options in 6.xx 7.xx.
Even there however u could not change the value (eg -1, -2, etc) and it was only meaning that at that particular fsaa mode mipmaps were simply rendered at the same resolution as the graphics.

This message was edited by Kakaru2 on 23 Jun 2001 05:25 PM

I an sad because my v5 had an lod bias value that i could adjust to make the textures look nicer when in fsaa (in opengl).

I usually have it set to -2 so there's no "banding" of textures.

If there's no lodbias setting. Does anyone know how to improve the visuals with a gf3 when in fsaa? Mainly i want to remove the banding of textures in counterstrike. any help is appreciated. thx
