GALAX is going to release GeForce GTX 1080 Ti HOF (Hall of Fame) and that white PCB and white cooler cooled beast comes with a rather spicy power phase design, as it features 16+3 phases. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/meet-the-galax-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-hall-of-fame-(photos).html
Yep and won't be released for another 8 months priced at probably $949.....GALAX need to hire more people, because they release extremely late to the point of people not caring. I cancelled my 1080 from them because they took so long...
Do these "power phases" actually allow the card to go/OC faster? I mean doesn't it matter down to the core itself being limited? I've been reading a lot about how these added phases do not allow for all the better OC in most cases. Would just like to get some definitive information before attempting to save up for something that is not worthwhile...
i doubt it, all it allow is more power to be thrown at it, i would think it would mater what gpu can handle and before it dont mater
