Sure, but dynamic meta data will be Implemented soon Into the new 2017 HDR10 TV's.
Samsung Is releasing new TV's soon.
Dynamic metadata will apparently not require any changes to the mastering process in movie studios. Not sure how that will apply to games though.

As for 8-bit "HDR" Displays, they can't display true HDR colors, since to display the full wide color range of Rec 2020 standard you need at least a 10-bit or 12-bit panel.

If by "soon" you mean in a couple of years and by "implemented" you mean "an updated HDR10+ standard which TVs will have to support in h/w to make use of it" then sure. Right now DV is the only option which can be used for this, and I have some doubts about industry being able to agree on a fast HDR10 iteration with dynamic metadata added soon instead of waiting for a more advanced HDR12 which will include it into the specs as well.

Shadow Play doesn't work for me anymore since updating (after DDU). In games it shows the sign like if it's not working, yet the default shortcuts (or my custom ones before install) don't work, and I can't get up settings either.

    Any advice?

Hopefully, HDMI 2.1 will solve that problem.

Thank you. Just updated to Windows 10 Insider Preview (15063). Can't go wrong with that new OS, new drivers mentality. :)

to those saying this driver is smooth as hell, did you come from 378.78? because that dx12 update was smooth as hell for me. maybe it's the same thing happening here in which case I might just skip this update. but if you're noticing additional speed on top of that update then i'll update lol.

and to those saying shadowplay doesn't work anymore, me either :\ I used to be able to do the add -shadowplay command to end of directory in desktop shortcut path to force it on and it worked, but some time a year or two ago it just stopped working no matter what I try it doesn't work anymore. kinda pisses me off I am pretty sure NVidia just eliminated our ability to use it because we don't meet the list of cards of minimum requirements (GeForce 600 and 700 series here. both pc's used to be able to shadowplay, no longer). but I was running max resolution and fps in 3d for shadowplay w/ no problems so it's really annoying. any help there would be great... including the best streaming software recommendations other than shadowplay or some fix would be great because I liked shadowplay and I don't want to have to go back to a 3 year old driver to force it to be "the way it's meant to be played" ....

Compared to 378.78 and BF1 mainly this driver is absolute crap. Stuttering all over the play, hitching, less response and less minimum fps.
I am going back to 378.78

Getting that same error on a GTX 1080. I think it might be an error with Mass Effect itself because none of my other games are having issues.

Another user in the MEA thread had a similar error with a 1080 but mentioning virtual memory. It's probably the game or else other frostbite titles would've suffered too.

he got the error while taking the tram for the 1st time
    always exactly at that moment

Tried reinstalling older drivers/ running windowed borderless but crashed anyway.
He was playing @4k with everything @Ultra(or high... dont remember)

Told him to try everything @ Low and 1080p and it worked.
I dont know if it's the resolution or the detail settings the problem but you might want to try

last driver made a jump in power efficiency, this new driver made another in the same direction. I've no trouble so far neither.

Is this while monitoring FPS with anything? I get crashes while monitoring FPS with anything while in 4k on various games. Various drivers.
