I¨ve just purchased a new computer with a voodoo3 3000 card in it. I chose the Voodoo because it gives me a much greater comptability with games (e.g It supports glide)
but now i'm getting second thoughts, when I´m playing unreal in 1600*1200 it seems a bit sluggish and Alien vs Predator defintly runs sluggish in 1600*1200... can it really be true that the voodoo3 is that slow?

The Voodoo 3 is definitely not the ideal card for gameplay in 1600x1200.
The geForce (especially the DDR version) would have been a far better choice.
Voodoo 3 was really designed for gameplay up-to 1280x1024, anything higher will decrease your average FPS instantly.
The geforce is faster and the DDR version has a whole lot more memory bandwidth to do it's 'thang' in higher resolutions. (still, you gotta have a fast enough processor though)
