I think that had a base clock of 550MHz, so that's like a 5% OC which is actually decent for a factory OC.

There´s no trolling in this thread. If Hilbert article is accurate and you read it you can understand that is unacceptable to charge 100usd more for this oc card. Get thinhs straight.

So basically you get a 12 MHz GPU overclock on a 1500 USD product for which the OC model will probably cost a 100 USD more ... I mean come on. No bueno Sapphire, no bueno ...
This was pulled directly from the OP in case you missed it.

So you admit to trying to derail the thread.

Oh I forgot if AMD charges too much for a product it's okay (and anyone that says anything against it is trolling), but nvidia charges too much well they are evil.

Now don't forget to paint yourself as the victim in your next post.

    Explain this product. $1500 for a reference 295x x2 and $1600 for one with a 12Mhz overclock.

You can buy three tri-x 290x's for the price of either card and have money left over to pay the increase in you power bill.

At least when the 690 was released the price was justifiable. Same with the 7990.

I believe we are duscussing price difference per oc card vs reference card (reference clocks).

Oh well yeah, that's total bs. But let's not forget who started this recent trend.

There is no deffence for either the price of the Titan, Titan Z or the 295x x2.

    But people will buy both.

well, seeing as a single 290x costs between $600-$700, the $1500 price of 295 isn't that much out of whack, especially considering the price will drop soon I'm pretty sure.

Not to mention it trades blows with 780ti in SLI, and it shines at 4k and beats 780ti SLI in a lot of cases while costing less.

Currently 780Ti SLI is around $1400.

ASUS 780Ti DCU2 the EVGA's are around the same price.

All too rich for my blood
