Getting CTD and BSOD's and lockups while gaming. Getting random BSOD's even in windows!

In years of using Nvidia i never ever had any crashes or what so ever. Worst driver.

Hi, I couldn't help but notice that we almost got similar systems. May I ask how old your PSU is? Because I had an corsair HX 1000Watt too before this PSU (see spec) I have now. My problems where hardlocks, bsods and sometimes it couldn't startup anymore. I might be wrong in my ideas but it would be nice out of curiousity if you could try another PSU just for observation.

Tomb Raider didn't play well with these at all. The game still crashes sometimes under 314.22, but it was even worse with the 320s.

    What a mess.

Same thing with me. My temps are 10c higher than 314.21 beta drivers. 314.22 also run a bit hotter than 314.21 with my set up.

Too many problems with 320.xx series. Going back to 314.xx sets fixed the problems. Currently running 314.22 drivers again after trying all 320.xx drivers and finding problems in different games with each. The 320.xx drivers were the first drivers in a very long time that have produced problems.

Metro Last Light and BF3 seem to run fine with 314.22 and earlier drivers. Updating 314.xx and earlier to latest profiles should help with any SLI issues, just don't forget to only select profile updates in Nvidia Update options.

Lol .. me and my big mouth. I got the same error just half an hour ago, while my computer was unattended, as I got on my 460 SLI setup.

It took down MSI Afterburner with it and I had to restart that program. As with the last time a window of Palemoon (Firefox) was open when this occurred. This is despite not using hardware acceleration.

Edit: back on 314.22 with a modified inf.

I'm getting a game freeze while playing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, patched to v1.8, with these drivers on my EVGA GTX 780 (reference model) running at stock clocks. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Tab back to the desktop in order to shut the game down. It occurs in the same place every time, when I reach the extraction point on the Noble Tempest mission. I've repeated this at least five times and the issue occurs each time at that point.

The event log shows the following error each time:

Event 4101, Display, "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Is this a driver issue? I can play demanding DX11 games such as Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light and Far Cry 3/Blood Dragons without any issues.

Note: I updated the BIOS on my GTX 780 from v80.10.36 to v80.10.37 last night but the issue in Future Soldier still occurs and in that same place.

Getting the same problem, mine crashes as soon as I load the cutscene where they're singing "I shot the sheriff" on the same mission.

    Observed problems in 320.18:
    1. Occasional FPS drop in World of Tanks, to about 1/3 of original value (60 down to about 20). Happens like once or twice a day, on PC with GTX 660, Windows 8 64-bit.
    2. World of Warcraft quits, driver resets, then it goes back to game - happens 3 or 4 times a day, on PC with GTX 275, Windows 8 64-bit.

No issues with 314.22 - last usable version, it seems.

@NV: start testing and/or fixing your drivers properly before releasing it, please - WHQL seems to be a joke these days, not mark of quality/stability.

WHQL has nothing to do with how good these drivers are or its performance.

WHQL means that Microsoft tested these drivers and they are compatible with windows and do not cause any windows system files issues.

But did you notice NV releases the drivers either as BETA, or WHQL? So for them it means STABLE. But, sadly, they're often NOT.

Contrary to popular belief, the difference between beta and WHQL is $250.

That's what you say, not what Nvidia says.
