nice Review , and nice card , but for that price 1k$ it's make no sense , for that price i can get 3 hd7970 oc them to 1180-1200/1600 then we go with a super powerful gaming rig :p no coil ore power draw stuff ... but anyway still a good peace of amd there if they lower price to the 800$ like W1zzard say then yeah it's a nice purchase for me , but as the concurrence are in the same stupid bullcrap price then yeah amd ll use that logic (more power = more price ) .

PS: what wrong with the oc chart ?? it seems something holding up the frames ! perhaps the power draw limiter ??

LOL no you completely didn't come across like that either. I can say I haven't really had any great issues with my 7970 cfx....then again I haven't got FCAT to see the one or two frames I'm missing, sometimes you notice, sometimes you don't.

Zero OCability? WYSWYG? Weird!
It looks as if AMD is price matching the very popular GTX 690.
Why would they shoot themselves in the foot like this?
About $750 USD maybe. No more than that or even the fanboyz will balk.

Woohoo! AMD is back on top . That thing is DESTROYING the 690 and Titan in 90% of the tests, even with beta drivers.

Nice to see testing being mainly shown at 2560 x 1600 as well now

With all those free games, it's a no brainer.

Yeah seems that way, remember though the 690 is 1 year old in May 2013, as for the Titan, well you know what i think about that card considering it was only released 2-3 months ago..meh.

Damn that's nice. They did seem to wait a bit long before releasing it though. Something I find interesting though is that my two cards when overclocked gives more performance than the 7990 stock. I even get a better 3Dmark11 P score with a weaker processor at the same clock, being 15,753. That 7990 should blow past my two cards though once that overclock issue is sorted out.

gtx 690 is dual gpu and it loses to hd 7990 in most tests. Titan just gets destroyed, of course.

I've got 7970s running at 1050 so I guess I was just wanting more clocks at stock from this. They seem to have oc'ed it to only 1100 also, was that the artifact limit because it seems low compared to a lot of 925 original cards oc limits. I guess I wanted to swap my 7970s for one of these with the hope of picking up another for under 600 a few months down the line but the reality is I can get better performance out of my cards and might as well pick up a third 7970 at some point if a specific game deserves it.

True. Titan is overpriced for what it is, and should've been the 680, not the 680 we have.

Ofc. If pricing can be competitive, hopefully AMD will be on to a winner here.

The only thing I was missing in this review was a comparison with 2 hd7970's in crossfire (in the FPS benchmarks, power consumption and frame times) and maybe 2 GTX Titans in SLI.
But overall, great review!
