Incase you noobs didnt see what the next xbox 720 graphics can do here is a Demo Tech preview with real time ray tracing! Called "Loop" thats right folks next gen xbox 360 will have realtime ray tracing on its games. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZvwtP3MMH4
I know... Not only is PPC, is OLD PPC. Based on the old PowerPC 750, just like the GameCube. 8 year old technology with bigger caches. That thing is archaic. I remember you said it was unlikely Nintendo would use POWER7, you were right from the start dude... Totally let down.
okay so i was just browsing for sum feathers doing side quest since i already beat the game i cant help to notice theres something the devs not telling us the game look so dam good its breathtaking its 2x to 3x better than the 360 version from what im looking at the fog effect is awesome as well as the hdr lighting on the sun. ive been playing this game for 6 and 1/2 hours straight total of almost 40 hours now i gotta take a screenshot and wonder if a weak cpu could even possibly do this. Im gonna let the system itself do the talking Here are some Trine 2 Screenshots the game is indeed gorgeous only 20 bucks on ESHOP grab this game if ur a wii u user u will not be disappointed u will be constantly treated with eye candy graphics.
Hard to tell anything from camera phone pictures of your TV. You'd really need a video capture card on your PC to pic up any detail.
I think Nintendo made it obvious with their previous Wii that they are not about high-end graphics, so I don't think anyone buying Wii U were expecting or should expect any jaw-dropping visuals. After using a Wii U, I realized that Nintendo is all about user experience - NOT graphics (although graphics could add something to the experience as well, but Nintendo doesn't agree lol). They have somewhat achieved that with their amazing Miiverse, but they still have a lot of things to work on. Loading settings, friends list, store or Miiverse can take anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds and that's a huge problem, all of that should be instant like every other console out there. I am not tying to crush anyone's hopes, but I just wanted to bring the negatives up. You also need to keep in mind that this console has only been around for 3 weeks and it's more than likely that they will sort everything out in the future updates.
Miiverse only took mine 2 seconds to load and almost instant on friends list, Eshop took less than 5 seconds to load, The wii u menu took 6 seconds to load now before it was more than 10 seconds im sure they will patch it up in soon to make the loading times even faster the update couple days ago fixed the long loading times. have u tried reseting ur wii u? delete everything and restore to factory defaults that should fix it if not there must be something wrong with the hardware i got couple friends who got constant freezing he did everything he could do but to no avail he bought a new console and update everything went well. Poeple Reported a lot faster loading times with the new update and its no where near 30 seconds to load. Link: http://www.gonintendo.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=100935&start=0
Dude stop lying to yourself. It's not and I can prove it, but then there is this question of why do I need to prove anything to you? I don't and you are wrong in so many ways that I don't even know where to begin from. 2 secs... right! You must have the Reggie Edition of Wii U lol
ummm Dudes Why would i lie? its not only me reporting they got a faster loading times on those update it also helps the freezing issue which i never encounter u can call it a lie if im the only one notice it. i even gave u a link telling the update alleviates the long loading times. not all system are the same even though its console ur's might load faster and mine might load slower, u might experience a lot of freezing and i might not and that happens even on the current gen system. as far as reggie's edition of wii u id like to have one! but i dont think it will be better. for all ur know its slower than other peoples wii u's. Anyway here are some latest footage of Pikimin 3 from nintedo direct by the time it will be released somewhere around march 2013 it will be more polished but as of now its looking bad ass make sure u switch to 1080p for best picture quality. Its the lil gear looking button on the bottom of the player thats where u can change the resolution. Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAiielCzc3o
Pikmin 3..Damn i loved the first two games! Still not enough to tempt me to get one of these but a great game nevertheless.
Im not really into resident evil series but good to know Wii U is gettin a Resident Evil 6 Final Hope Version with the gamepad integration. Link: http://www.examiner.com/article/res...e-may-be-coming-to-wii-u-with-claire-and-more
Hmm interesting "Wii U Is The "Greenest" HD Console" Link:http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/12/wii_u_is_the_greenest_hd_console
I quite like my WiiU, I'm not bothered that it might not be as strong as the PS4, or the new Xbox. Then again, I can guarantee those 2 consoles are going to be expensive! As long as I get Zelda, I'll be happy!! I mean seriously guys... You are bickering over a bunch of stats on consoles.... As long as games run on them what does it matter?? Keep the number crunching to the PC enthusiasts.
My old Atari and Spectrum could play games. Of course it matters how well a console will perform, especially for those who tend to buy one system and mostly play multi-platform releases. I'm guessing most people on this site are computer hardware enthusiasts, which is why many of us are interested in the sort of power consoles have.
Interesting Find 2K Sports: Wii U Has The Potential To Offer A "Superior" Experience "Senior Producer of NBA 2K13 Rob Jones has said that in many ways the Wii U version of the hit basketball title is "superior" to versions on other platforms - which is quite impressive considering it's also been released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC." looks like 360 and ps3 got whoop lol This is definitely Looking good for wii u Link:http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20..._the_potential_to_offer_a_superior_experience
I am a long time Nintendo fan, its what got me into gaming when I was younger. We had a commodore 64 but it was used for typing and printing mainly. Until we got the NES which I barely remember playing but I do remember playing Zelda and Mario on it for sure. The the SNES (still the best console by far in my book!). I really like the look of the Wii U, sure its specs are questionable but the controller makes sense, for me anyway. My gf is consistently nagging me to watch TV so I barely get chance to play games anymore and when I do venture into my man cave (PC room) she still moans. So being able to watch Netflix, browse web, or play games on the screen whilst she watches TV is a win win for us and I believe many others too. I went to my local video games store and asked them when they expect to get the Wii U Deluxe edition back in stock. The guy quickly said "no, we still have loads left, both basic and deluxe versions. We have too many and we can't sell them we are going to have to send most of them back!!" I was in shock! A Nintendo console that is in vast supply near and xmas launch... WTF!? Its got me worrying, I checked the prices and it was £249 for the Deluxe with NO GAME only NintendoLand and the games themselves even Mario Bros U is £49.99!!!! WTF!? I checked other stores such as HMV, Gamestation, Game, Tesco, Sainsbury's ALL STILL IN STOCK and in pretty large amounts too. But look online and everywhere is out of stock!! I am worried about this, Nintendo always sell out, the demand simply is not their anymore. Maybe its the price, the lack of advertising (to the mainstream), certainly not the lack of support the console has one of the best launch line ups of any Nintendo console. I think its the price and advertising. They are relying too much on the backbone the original Wii created. They need to spend money on advertising on mainstream TV, billboards, radio, I have yet to any of these at all! I worry that once I get one the install base will be small and not many people will be online when I want a multiplayer match... and I am not paying £300 for a Netflix player lol
I think it's the lack of advertising. My friend who is a HUGE Wii fan thought the Wii U was an add-on for the Wii. I think most people who bought the Wii before don't have a clue they even have a new system out. Early sales figures are out and looks pretty good, I think also Nintendo has produced more WiiU consoles to avoid a shortage. http://www.digitalversus.com/games-...-p11209/first-wii-u-sales-figures-n27375.html
Yeah, they just started that, but where I work at, most of the customers (5k customers a day) think Wii U is some update to the original Wii or something. That blows me everytime lol They need to maybe say something like "The new Wii U is 100 times stronger than the OLD Wii" in their commercials to let the people know that it is a completely different animal.
