i heard different team is also handling it? i wish for it to be even more challenging/no compromise. Maybe they could implement an "easy" mode for those casuals, but most souls players will play it on its hardest anyway.
i has spent 167 hours with the first one,and still amazed by this masterpiece!now on NG++!Day one buy for me the next one!Thank you Namco to bring it for PC again!
Straightforward, understandable, accessible, more direct than subtle, do not mean gameplay, they understand the difficulty is one of the main draw, so the gameplay will probably not change much. It's everything else that could suffer, the way the lore is presented, the atmosphere, the artistic side of things. Thing is, those are part of the things that make Dark Souls Dark Souls, I'd even say that those are what sets it apart from generic rpgs, the authentic armour design, the areas you go through, the oppressive atmosphere, etc. Not a different team as far as I know, but a different director, with Miyazaki only being the producer, a supervisor... which could mean he won't have much to do with how the game comes out. It doesn't really help that the new director hasn't exactly worked on anything like Dark Souls before (Monster Hunter may have similar looking combat, but it is different in everything else). I would be more enthusiastic if it was someone who worked on King's Field or Shadow Tower as both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are spiritual successor to those games, but that is not the case (of course, those games do not have similar gameplay, but they are experiences of their own). The trailer felt entirely too generic to me, like it tried to be very "epic", I thought it was some sort of prank or a different game trying too hard to be Dark Souls but it turned out it was DkS2.

Hope it doesnt effect development too much. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...-in-dark-souls-2-doesnt-want-too-many-sequels
Nice item on GT Training Souls http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/6x0xky/dark-souls-ii-training-souls
haha great video I love the hints to come back to NES classics.... Just shows how dumbed down most games are nowadays
Dark Souls is by far my favourite game of the current generation. I normally couldn't care less about achievements or trophies, but DS compelled me to go through and 100% it several times on different systems. Just couldn't get enough of it, and still play it to this day. Slightly skeptical about the sequel though.
Gameplay reveal coming tomorrow peeps http://www.computerandvideogames.com/400114/dark-souls-2-world-premier-gameplay-reveal-tomorrow/
