I've got the 3D Vision Emulator working by switching back to Windows 7 *Possibly confirming that it does not work with Windows 8 Release Preview* but I still cannot get the INF driver installed. :/
UPDATE: I got the modified INF files working. Just discovered that I had to go to the monitor catagory in Device Manager, and then update driver then "Let me pick from files" or something along the lines then it has "Have disk". I thought everyone meant that you go to "Add legacy hardware" because that's where I found "Have disk" and thought that's where you install it. Thank you very much!

Can any one of you hear the fan that's supposed to be inside the base of the monitor? I never heard mine but ran into trouble each time I used it to its full capacity (120Hz and 120fps). The first time it went away, this time it stayed:
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...P1050848rs.jpg
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...P1050846rs.jpg
The whole picture looks like it was interlaced, low res and the colors are washed out. As the problem occurs right after I turn the screen on I'm sure it has nothing to do with my PC. The OSD won't work anymore either.

Just a heads up, I might have found a way to significantly improve the depth and convergence on the monitor. However it makes it more darker, it is very effective. (Only tried in Alice: Madness Returns so far)
On your monitor, go to menu, then MAGIC and then Angle, choosing Standing Mode.

S27A950D is hands down the best monitor to have for an Amd based card. Loving mine connected to my 6950 xfire setup via displayport.

You could say the pixels are quite visible if you stare from up close... but since it's a 27" monitor you can push it back on your desk and the problem is solved The display is crisp and clear, i have the S27A750.

Exactly, screen size only determines how far away you can sit.
At 1080p or higher, the pixel size is a none issue unless you like turning your head a lot or getting eye strain from sitting too close.

I use this monitor and im very happy and strongly recommend. It dorsnt support native nvidia 3d support but u will go 3d with many games anyway. Doom bfg or crysis2 works like a charm in native 3d mode.

It really is a great screen. I even like it better the more other screens I get to look at.
So far, all the "TN" downsides I found were reproducable on other screens also (apart from the viewing angle which isn't an issue for me). Color artifacts, banding, all to be found on other panels too -> those that I can see are caused my the basic image itself, not a bad reproduction of the screen.

Yes exactly, they only have half resolution one way or the other (half height or half width) apart from "frame sequential". That's the one you'd want to have as it has full HD resolution.
I must admit though that I haven't followed the 3D thing much lately, will get back to it though to play some classics in 3D

Well had it returned it. Yes 120hz but at 1080 and 27" and TN screen and a dot pitch of .31 ouch. And their glasses.. thats the killer.
Unless your blind and going from a dot pitch of .23 then go to .31 is like night and day.
I went through some of these and they all had some light bleed which if you took apart you find if you loosen a screw here and there the bleed in the lower right hand was 80% gone.

EDIT: Tested around and noticed it's the Samsung glasses that make it darker, the monitor is bright though. Is it possible to use a WIRED 3D Vision 2 glasses to be able to play games in proper brightness?
EDIT 2: Setting the monitor to Frame Sequential makes 3D darker as well. I can't seem to understand the point of using an modded INF 3D Vision 2 if the brightness is there but dissapears when setting to FS.
