The new GeForce 310.61 beta drivers are now available to download. Otherwise identical to last week's 310.54 beta driver, 310.61 beta improves compatibility in Hitman: Absolution and Planetside 2, and supports a new Black Ops II SLI profile that's available through NVIDIA update.
Windows Vista, 7, and 8 32-bit and 64-bit desktop and notebook downloads available at: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/..._download.html
If you have any feedback please leave a comment in this thread, and if you have a technical issue please report the problem direct to Manuel via the NVIDIA Display Driver Feedback Form. This will allow us to file bugs and work on any issues immediately.

I picked up 1 fps in the Hitman benchmark vs. 310.54 beta. I wasn't expecting miracles - gpu usage was already at 99% throughout.

What about the slowdowns in Borderlands 2, are they game engine related?
It would help if they released a BL2 benchmark tool.

Odd how Borderlands 2 was hyped as a major Nvidia game, very few driver optimisations and although Gearbox have released quiet a few game patches, none have really addressed the performance, or the textures issues in the Pirate DLC, and today they are releasing the second DLC

They were meant to, not sure if they still are. Every time I ask gearbox about performance issues they just respond with currently working on it lol.
Anyway, installed these and looking forward to Planetside2 being released

I had the same issue... until I realised that maxed settings @ 1920x1200 with 8xMSAA + FXAA was using 1,954 MB. In other words, the pauses I was experiencing came from my GTX 680s running out of VRAM and I got this error message after the game froze and eventually crashed back to the desktop:
Even 4xMSAA uses 1.5 GB of VRAM and the game runs at 50-60 fps on the Tutorial mission I'm playing (I'm inside the mansion, past the security door) but, nevertheless, feels juddery/stuttery and nowhere near as smooth as it should do at that framerate.
P.S. That was with the v310.54 beta driver as I've not had the chance to try these new ones yet.

Oh, there was no issue, Darren. My point was that I wasn't expecting improved performance on the driver side of things given that I was already getting full usage of my gpu. I was only using 4xMSAA and had plenty of VRAM headroom - no stutters or crashes, but performance only in the 40-60 fps range.
I ended up turning off all in-game AA and using SweetFX's SMAA injector, which looks great and has minimal fps impact.
Cheers.

Seeing they are the same as the previous apart from some SLI profiles i will skip them. Both 310's caused issues for me.

Andy, these don't do jack for Hitman absolution. I have a quad sli setup and sorry to say but this is yet another example of you guys doing squat for your high end enthusiast loyalists. Not to mention Borderlands 2. Why isn't there some kind of an official response from nVidia. I have been a long term nVidia user but lately am beginning to get disillusioned.

Good, I don't have aspect ratio issues in SW:TOR with these. I did other stuff too to try to avoid it so I'm not certain if it's the driver, the latest patch for the game or something else but it's fixed.
But... Mass Effect 1 fails to start with 09.12.1031 PhysX. 9.12.0613 is the latest PhysX system software that doesn't make Mass Effect 1 to crash on start.
