sound card influence my ping in counter strike -

when playing counter strike ping jumps from 40 to 300+ and back again
it happened when i upgrade my computer to xp-pro p4 2400 gf3ti500 865pe gigabyte mb 512 2100 ddr samsung i have tried to fix this ping jumping thing with no success,then i disabled the sound card (realtek onboard ) and the ping jumping was gone and i got the usual 40-60. then i enabled the sound card and tried to play with the configuration , finally i found out that when i disable the hardware acceleration everything is ok with the ping... so can you guys pls tell me why the sound hardware acceleration influence the ping?? thanks ill post this thread in the soundcard forum as well. |
