Hi all,

Firstly my apologies, this is another 'can you help me pick' thread but I'm a little stuck. I always get stuck like this when it comes to two products I can't really decide between, when specs seem to be the same. I've been looking at two Intel mobos and can't decide.

Would you be able to tell me the differences? I've been researching for a little while and they both seem to be pretty good boards. I just wondered if anyone has experience of these boards or whether you could tell me if one is better than the other or are they similar enough that it wouldn't really matter? Thank you

The two boards in question are:

Asus

Gigabyte

They are both good boards (but you already knew that). It does come down to what you are used to in terms of how features are set up like LLC control or Asus' UEFI, also asus seems to have more users and by extension more guides that can help with tweaking etc.

If I had to choose, I would probably end up with the UD5. However, I might be a little biased due to my experiences with Asus RMA support.

Here's a couple of reviews to help you decide.

Thank you BlackZero, that was a lot of help. I've gone for the Z77-UD5.

I had an awful time with ASUS RMA as well. Shipped me back a broken laptop 3 times.

Hi all,

just wanted to say thanks again for your input. I built my system over the weekend but now I'm back in Poland and I still haven't got my system here...yet.

Had a few niggles but I'm pleased with it now it's all up and running.
