Another small bug:

Changing the forced anti-aliasing mode doesn't seem to do anything. If I switch to adaptive or supersampling, it seems to stay on MSAA.

Thanks but I mean here it doesn't even change the options shown in RP - the slider seems to do nothing at all. I've tried it in Mass Effect, and using CCC does change the AA mode in game, in RP nothing happens.

Ah yeah. I just tried 8xSSAA on ME and I'm getting 35ish fps compared to 60fps on 8xMSAA. I was trying 4xAdaptive before, which still gives me 60 so thought it wasn't changing it as RP shows nothing.

They have FRAPS whitelisted, maybe Origin and Steam overlay are whitelisted as well. You may try asking them at their website

Unfortunately not all games can be forced by RP to use triple-buffering, maybe The Witcher (1 or 2?) is one of them Vsync should be working though, unless you're running the game in a window (not fullscreen)

Yes, you need the full game to rum the benchmark.

I know this may be confusing, but MSAA level displayed at bottom of screen is unrelated to SSAA. Adaptive AA and Supersample AA are made of 4 registry entries, it's a mess to remember which is each level so I left it hidden. But as The Mac said below, besides not appearing at settings list, it's being applied.

Its witcher 1. The Witcher:Enhanced edition

Vsync and TB is not working. Globally, or with profile.

Both worked fine before the prerelease.

Its virtully unplayable without vsync.

The FPS counter is not showing too? If it's showing up, vsync should be controllable by RP.

Play with launcher settings, may fix it.

There is no launcher, other than steam.

DFC works however, so thats good enough pegged at 60fps.

weird about TB though...I have tb enable sounds on, so i know it was at least trying to start with the stable release.

i dont use the FPS counter, as i have a g19, and i need fraps for FPS.

Id love to get rid of fraps, and Ive contacted the lcdhost guys about a RP plugin, but ive had no resposonse.

do you have a shared memory API for RP?

ignore the nvidia and core logos, i havent change the graphic

EDIT: ok, changing launcher setting to steam fixed it. weird.

chrome is giving "unable to write to memory" errors as well

Thalyn, can I ask you which OS/version are you using? Also, is only IE 9 crashing that way?

When RP is shut down, it broadcasts a message to all windows it have been hooked telling the program is going to be unloaded and the hooked program should release all resources related to it. For some reason, IE9 is not releasing it and RP code is trying to be executed after it is unloaded of memory, thus "AppProfiles.dll_unloaded" message is displayed. I'll see if I can reproduce that behavior here as well, thanks.
The new version, unfortunately, still crashes out when IE9 closes - even if that's only closing a tab. Yahoo! Messenger also gave a BEX crash on start-up earlier, but it doesn't seem to affect games. Since the update I haven't seen a tab crash on its own yet, however.

I suspect Adobe to be responsible, if I'm honest, since I keep getting permission issues when installing the new version because "FlashUtil32_11_3_300_271_ActiveX.exe" is using the AppProfiles.dll.

Just in case that's not the fault, however, versions are as follows:
OS: Win 7 Ult. x64 SP1, v6.1.7601
IE9: 9.0.8112.16421, update 9.0.9 (KB2722913)

the reason is.. it shows the GPU temp in the system tray (even with highest and lowest temp)
Any chance that will happen ?

If its already implemented in latest versions plz excuse me for my stupidness..as i dont know much about RadeonPro, as with my older GFX ASUS card with ASUS drivers i was not able to use it.. so i sticked to ATT all the time.

No, it's not active now but I'll try to implement some basic GPU monitoring in a future build.
Thx a lot

Holy ****, was it you who did the other benchmark tool for Crysis (and I think maybe some other games)? If so, well done.

Trying it now.

Edit: Those games in the compatibility list... have I added those myself and didn't remember, or are they there for a reason? Only asking because Just Cause 2 is there and I definitely have that.

When I adjust settings in RP they aren't changed in CCC, does this matter?

I adjust my gpu voltage through the profile.xml and running CCC is the only way to get the overvolt to stick, otherwise it resets to default.

Also I don't think DFC is working because the gpu load doesn't increse when the fps is below set threshold....

First of all, big thanks to japamd for making RadeonPro.

I did some testing with the latest preview:

-Half-Life 2 works, but the OSD is black and uses half the screen.
-Half-Life 2: Episode One, same as HL2.
-Half-Life 2: Episode Two works, but no tripple tuffering.
-Dear Esther works.
-Crysis Warhead dx10 crashes on load.
-Alan Wake works sometimes, let's say it works about 5 out of 10 times.
-The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition works after adding launcher.exe as a trigger, but no tripple buffering.
-Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelation both work after adding uplay.exe as a trigger.
-Batman: Arkham City works in DX9 Mode, after using steam impulse in the launcher options.
-Metro 2033 works.
-Mass Effect 3 Works.
-Dead Space 2 Works.
-Trine 2 works after adding trine2_laucher.exe as a trigger
-Nation Red works
-Need for Speed Hot Pursuit works
-Google Earth crashes the first time, but works the second time.

btw I am using catalyst 12.8

I hope it is helpful.

Cheers,

in all my RP usage (old released versions), i would certainly get tons of 32bit crashes like this, either when i close or open a game, or 5min after i closed RP

the 32bit things that i have running that usually crash (or sometimes only some of them crash, others stay) would be msn, aim, skype, rivatuner, browsers, soundcard tray icon, fraps, ...

Thanks for your effort, I'll try to reproduce the problems with some of those games (that I have installed here)

@kn00tcn, I didn't heard complaints about that much crashing, you're the first to me. This preview is crashing more often for sure, that's why it's not replacing the previous stable build yet.

@japamd
Have you any clue whats causing the missing new OSD in some games after applying hotkeys in RP?
When I don't change anything in RP (fresh install) the OSD opens fine with PageDown, but after I change the FXAA hotkey it won't open anymore. The yellow FPS counter is there though, and it shows the DirectX version at startup too!

Look at settings if the hotkey for OSD panel have been redefined. It may be a bug.
