Default Starcraft delay getting into game - 08-16-2012, 17:59 | posts: 505 | Location: Dallas, Texas

One of my son's has a 48xx card. With the latest SC2 update he gets in game 5 seconds late. This is according to my pc (same SC2 game/server) and his game clock. This is consistent.

My pc and my other son's pc don't do this (Nvidia GPU's). I built all 3 machines and they are comparable with quality OC choosen components at the time.

Some stuff on SC2 forums about this but mostly complaining and no solutions that worked. Not even sure it's a cat driver issue.

Put 12.6 on (cat still shows 12.4...guessing a phase out of 4xxx and below but it did replace some driver files).

Ideas and expertise appreciated,
Lex

if the driver packaging version is 8.961-120405 (april 5, 2012), then it's really 12.4

so the game updated & now there's a 5sec delay? sounds odd & more like blizzard's fault

another idea is to try older driver sets

Yes, pretty much consensus it's Blizzards fault. Yet leaving a solution to them will not be timely at best. Thanks, will try older drivers.

there's a chance all you need is atiumdag.dll from an older good set, placed where diablo3.exe is, so that you can stay with the newer set for the rest of the system (if you're inclined, there are still some lingering bugs on the newer sets)
