I have a set of high end speakers and I made them wireless with a few gadgets I had around the house. Puzzle: How did I do it?
I started with a set of rear channels and a normal everyday desktop Class D amplifier.
I added one more component to the mix and had wireless rear channels as the GF didn't like the wires across the floor and I didn't want to cut holes in the rug.

Yup! Just like that. I wonder how they would be for PC gaming? I'm very interested in making the plunge,so to speak.

I'm sure they sound fine, but I'd be more interested in hearing about how ROBSCIX turned his normal speakers wireless. Some kind of blue tooth wireless device? Was there any noticeable degradation in sound quality?

I wonder if I should contact Sennheiser about my headphones... I've never dropped these, never mistreated these and I've always used two hands to take 'em off and put them on. Less than two years and this is the result:

Luckily I think it's just superficial issue but one never know when it falls apart.

^Definitely give them a call. They may offer to fix it for free, or at least give you some ideas on what to do.

Call them. Looks like the HD598 and then noticed your details it is a 595. Was going to get one myself, got the SRH940 and it looks like it could crack 50 different ways in comparison.

My mother has 598 and if I remember correctly it has tiny changes around that area. I will send email about this when I have time.

I have HD595's and I don't have anything going on like that. I would call the company and see what they say.

They already do, Beyerdynamic has a bunch of models that has Metal Hinges and metal thru out the headphones. Even Superlux has models that share the same design that your looking for.

When I heard about the HD59# cracking like that, that what scared me away from ever using one of them. So I always either used Audio-Techinca, Ultrasone and Beyerdynamic.

I do have a limit on how much I will spend on headphones. Its no more then $250 and that also a special case. Depending on how it sound and how good it is. Which why I didn't grab a AKG K550 even thru I saw alot of people saying how great it was in comparison to what I went for. That 300 dollar price tag was too much in my eyes.

Also it finally took long enough for me to get tired of using sound cards and wanting more to actual move on to a External Dac amp setup. And the fact I got my Audio-GD NFB-12 for $150 from a user on head-fi. Happy too since its the rev with the jumper pins inside that you use to change how it sound. From having both Xonar STX X-FI HD, then HDAV1.3 non HDMI before it. It was getting old.Plus the fact I stop caring for alot of the features on both cards.

I feel they need to go higher with sound card technology, maybe they will when people demand it since sound cards are moving at a slower pace then cpus and graphics cards.

it was either a Martin Logan matched set each individually powered by a Krell monoblock, or the 2nd set was powered by Classe monoblocks, 2.0/5.1 or a set of B&W 800D's powered by Classe monoblocks, 2.0 only. *drool* I remember the interconnects were the size of my wrist....and the sound from them....just pure. plain pure.

prolly worth $100k+ each. *per setup*

The best system I ever heard was at a concert, however best home system I would say that the system I have now, only worth prolly 5k but it certaintly rocks the joint

edit: the system at one of the concert's I've been to was at a rave party/concert and the speaker count was about 20 each side and some overhead and at the back. Each speaker prolly rated at 1000watts rms so you can imagine how it sounded. I was deaf for 2 weeks, no kidding...

same thing happened to my HD555, they wanted the original box and receipt...and i had neither...so...that was that.

If bought it online, the online seller would had gave you the receipt if you asked for it. Unless you didn't buy it off one.

Is it just me but I take into consideration warranty when I buy a product and then I always lose the receipt. I need to start scanning and organizing receipts.

I have the receipt... but I don't have the box nor serial number of the product. If I remember correctly this had 1 year warranty from the store (seller is always the first one should contact here). Sennheiser woudl offer some kind of extended warranty but I was too stupid not to register this when I could have. Usually warranty is handled through the store. I could contact the store and ask if they could still do something about it since the warranty period does not terminate liability for defects.

I'm not going to fight it, though. In worst case scenario I can just glue it together and hope that it won't fall apart.

This place wants $193 (26% of the cost of the speakers) to upgrade you to Goertz copper foil inductors and Mundorf Supreme caps on the crossover. Do things like that provide an objectively quantifiable difference to the sound?

What has really pissed me off recently is saving your hard earned money to buy good gear and have that gear; brand new just give you massive headaches as I've just experienced yesterday when I bought Roccat Kaves and plugged them on my two monthly old Xonar only to be greater with the worst static ever. All the reviews I checked for the Kaves said wonderful things about them and now when I have this problem people are saying Kaves are crap. So what is the best approach if you want the best

Mine done the exact same thing.

Twisting/turning them causes the band to push out against the plastic. ..It really can't be avoided.

I used some strong glue and a couple wraps of 3M Rubber tape, awesome stuff and it comes in clear.
