Default Headphones work 50% ? - 08-05-2012, 13:59 | posts: 12

Hey Guys.

I go straight to the case.

When i plug my headphones to the laptop, it works in TeamSpeak 3, and i can hear them speak etc. But when i enter BF3, or other game - the sound comes through the speakers from the laptop.

I tryid to disable the speakers, but then there is no sound ingame at all. I tryid put headphones as standard unit, still nothing. I tryid reboot with the headphones plugged in, and then try ingame - still nothing.

If i plugg it "almost" all the way in, it kind of works. But then the sound comes through headphones AND speakers at the same time and only the voices from TS3 through headphones.

Any suggestions? :/

Best Regards,

Joppiano

update/change audio drivers versions and try to touch everything in CP (specially seek a button called "disable speakers when headphones connected")

My laptop did that in some games when i first got it. I ended up reformatting it and realized windows default drivers work perfect so i kept using them. I suspect it was something to do with the beats audio crap my laptop came with.

I would make sure your drivers are all updated and go through your settings in the system control panel for sound and your settings for your card.

BTW, you might get more help with audio quesitons, if you post them in the audio forums
