I played a version of it some time ago.
Apart from being buggy and unbalanced as hell, there wasn't much to do except exploring some "new" parts of the zone without any lived-in feel to them.

I'll wait for Lost Alpha before installing SHOC again.

Total and utter waste of time, the usual mish mash of modding non sense.

Starts out by hosted on a site that contains very litte in the way or real info, the site itself has the old fashioned style of bombarding you with loads of different patches, addons and useless downloads, if you do find the right download it turns out to be a torrent which ends up downloading a massive file, continues by having no installation instructions, yeah it has readmes which 'helpfully' tell you about the 7 or 8 other files that were on the original site and what changes they made but information on how to install the mod, non what so ever, frankly this is an unforgivable omission for a mod that is meant to be as game changing as this one claims, keeps going by including files that prevent STALKER from running full stop and ends by being a mod that plain and simple does not work. The game will not run past the addon intro video

Save yourself the 4 and a half gig download on this one gents, their is better supported mods for the game out there.

That's the impression I get from looking at the site: a mess. Lots of content but a mess.
