Default Mid 2010 Macbook Pro - Gaming performance - 08-09-2012, 14:13 | posts: 4

I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro with a 2.53Ghz CD2 & 4GB of ram. I generally play games on my desktop but when I'm away from home I play a few games on my laptop. I know it's not built for this but I don't have the money to buy a more powerful laptop, and want to know how to get the most out of the hardware I have.

The most demanding game I run is WoW. What version of OSX would games run better on ? An earlier version with more free resources or a newer OS that gets more from your hardware ?

Would I be better running bootcamp for gaming because of the improved GFX drivers ?

Is there any mac alternative to Gamebooster for windows that stop unneeded processors/services from running ?

Are there any tweaks or anything that could help me get the most from my hardware ?

Thanks

By and large, the performance you get currently isn't going to be changed much by fiddling around with the software, maybe a couple fps here and there, but nothing major.
