My second GTX 670 show PCIe 3.0 1.1 when render test in GPU-Z

So, the topic says it. i got my two EVGA GTX 670 FTW, and when i do the render test in GPU-Z, my second card start of @ PCIE X16 3.0, and after 5 seconds it goes down to PCIE X16 1.1?

is this just a bug?

Are you rendering in full screen like it recommends ? If so, it probably is just a bug if your uefi is set at full speed per slot

Sure that card is even used? Because I believe it's an energy saving feature that the PCIe speed is downgraded when idle.

This happens most of the time if sli is not enabled. Check with msi afterburner if both card are used.

Because the power management mode in NVCP is set to adaptive by default. It's to conserve power during idle.

Setting it to prefer maximum performance than running the GPU-z test you'll see that the 2nd GPU wil stay at x16 3.0. It isn't necessary to change the PM mode as the 2nd GPU should stay at x16 3.0 while gaming.

I ran the render in GPUZ, forcing the bus to run at Max bandwidth, here is what I got....
