I've got an unlocked 6950 2GB. In AB I've set it to 1.174v, 950/1350Mhz.

When I run Kombuster, on the screen it shows
GPU1, 950Mhz, 1350Mhz, 1.100v

but in Afterburner it shows it's only running at 725/1250. I tried putting the Power Limit up from 0% to 20% but that hasn't made any difference. If I enable Voltage Monitoring, AB shows that correctly at 1.174v.

When I stop Kombuster it idles at 500/1250.

Never mind, after rebooting it seems to be overclocking OK now. I think it was in dual-screen mode before, hence the 500/1250 idle clocks. Now in single-screen it idles at 250/150.

However, the display driver just crashed testing with Kombuster. Do I need to increase the voltage some more?

Hi~
What is Kombustor version do you use?
What is unlocked 6950?(reference board?6970 BIOS?)
If you can, try to reset default in Afterburner then run Kombustor again.
Thanks.

It's version 2.3.0.

The card is a Powercolor 6950 2GB unlocked to a 6970 (not with a 6970 BIOS flash).

Yeah, I think when I tried a while ago even with more voltage I couldn't get it stable at 950, so I'll just try something lower. 910/1350 seems OK but I can run 890/1350 at stock voltage, so I'm not it's worth cranking up the voltage for the extra 20Mhz.

I should mention I've got the Accelero Xtreme cooler fitted, so at 910/1350 with Powerplay on +20% and the fan at 70% it only hits about 76c in Kombuster. As far as I'm aware there's not been any tests that show Powerplay on 20% increases FPS in any games, rather than artificial benchmarks anyway, so I'd normally leave that on 0% for cooler temps.
