Default Are these temps okay for Kuhler 620? - 07-31-2012, 04:32 | posts: 80

Hello everyone. I was wondering if these temps are okay for an Antec Kuhler 620 and Intel core i5 2500k.

I'm in Southern Cali and it's about 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit in my house ( I know it's hot =/ )

So my temps are:

Idle - 28-33 celcius

Load 50-55 celcius

This is without my case fans running at the moment ( just doing some tests ) and the covers off. Just wanting to know if everything is working properly =) I did the pea drop method for the paste and I know it seated well because I was able to hook it up perfectly first try without moving it around. I literally applied the compound about an hour ago. So I'm sure it's still not working at full specifications.

Sounds good to me what are you using to put it under load? The new version of prime95 will probably get you to max temps but you have to wait for the second test if you are using blend otherwise use small FFT.

I'm using Intel Burn Test set to maximum.

Oh also, those temps are with the CPU down clocked to 1.6 ghz at idle and when it's under full load it turbo boosts to about 3.4-3.7 ghz. Does it still sound good to you?

looks pretty good t ome..intelburntest does really burn..lol..

for intel u could say..(per core) everything under 60C° under Load is pretty ok...

BUT....could be hot also..depends on what voltage u have it under load....

but u dont have to worry about anything with these temps...

Those temps are O.K. I have the 920,and I get the same under load. I have my cooler set to "silent" for all tasks including marathon gaming and temps don't hit 60c. A GREAT cooler. Very quiet too.
