Hello all, I recently purchased a Radeon HD 6850 from Newegg and installed it last thursday. When I tried using it my computer crashed hard, unable to repower it up and I had to buy a new PSU, a corsair GS700. Everything has been running smoothly since then until last night I was playing SC2 on Ultra when my computer experienced the same major crash, unable to repower, no power supplied to keyboard and mouse. I went to the corsair forums and tried to figure out if it was an issue with the PSU however after a little troubleshooting I unplugged the connection from the Radeon HD 6850 to the power supply and replugged it back in. This brought the computer back to life, powers on normally. After relaying this information the corsair forums and talking to a computer guru electrical engineer of mine we have come to question the integrity of my Radeon HD 6850.
That said, has anyone had this issue in the past? Is it possible I got a faulty Radeon HD 6850? If so should I request a replacement from AMD/ATI or from Newegg? Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
