Not sure i agree with the N80 comparison though, i still have that in a drawer and it was great when it first came out, but its not even close to the screen quality of her Galaxy, think there is some Finnish rose tinted glasses there.
No... Just take a look at it. While it's obviously 6 years old, it's much sharper than Galaxy S and I was talking about that and thus I was not really that impressed with the screen since from that pow it was a downgrade. Pentile screen makes it really grainy and kinda messy.

I like apple when it comes to their laptops and phones, though overpriced no question about it.

I've always had a good experience with an Apple product though their stringency in terms of the os and how "set in their ways" they are is definitely a turn off for me.

That said, if the Iphone 5 does end up just being a glorified Iphone 4 with bigger screen, I won't be getting one.. I'd prefer to take more after the 3 body with a larger screen as I quite dislike the iphone 4 design.
Naturally though Apple will sell them and most likely do absurdly well with it, even if they are late to the game. People love Ios and I'm definitely one of em..

Overpriced maybe? But it's not like they are much more expensive than Android alternatives.

I used to buy into all the Apple hate, but after i spent some time with an iphone and a ipad i found out they are very well put together from a hardware and software point of view, probably wouldn't buy either myself as i like the freedom of Android, but certainly not deserved of the hate they get from alleged "tech" people either.

I meant a real competitor like Samsung, where last year the 16GB versions of both their flagship phones was around £500 RRP.

Most people don't buy phones unlocked anyway, and contract wise there isn't much in-between them.

Could not agree more me personally I will never buy an Apple computer but their mobile devices (iPad, iPod, iPhone) are very easy to use and almost always work as they are supposed to, you don't have to turn it off and take the battery out of the product once or twice a week to make it work properly. Although I do miss my 4 it's battery lasted about 2.5 times longer than my 4S does.

Im sorry but that is only for the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon because it is a CDMA with LTE antenna. Otherwise if we compare regular GSM version then its $349.99 straight from google. I would call it an unfair example.

Apple has allways been a junk in both computers and phones in my opinion. A few more months windows 8 phones come out and dominate the market even over android.

I remember some time ago a friend of mine was using his iphone & it froze.

He came straight to me and said it's frozen, what shall I do? I shrugged my shoulders & walked off.

The Xperia S was £499 when it came out and has dropped in price since.

Apple's iPhone 4S has not dropped in price and wont untill the iPhone 5 arrives

Press and hold both the power and home buttons until the phone restarts, this is explained in the manual and I think it is much easier then figuring out how to open your phone without at least scratching something.

Any person that has an iPhone and doesn't know how to do a hard reset should not be owning one lol. Press the home key + sleep/wake button for like 15 seconds until the screen goes blank. Then once the apple logo shows up release both buttons. if your still having problems with lockups, try a factory reset. If that doesn't work, then take back.

Aha, yeah, all phones have a similar method, such as holding several buttons to reboot.

The only reason I even know that is because my wife is a goddamn Apple fanatic.

I can never get away from the madness around here. If you were to walk into my living room, you'd think you were in a damn apple store.

Galaxy S III is a dual core phone with 2GB of RAM, an LTE antenna, a 720p OLED, 4.8 inch screen, and a 2100 mah removable battery.

Of if we're talking international, it's a quad core phone, with 1GB of RAM and all the other features I mentioned.

An iPhone 4S 32GB, off contract, from Apple, is 749 dollars.

A 32GB Samsung Galaxy S III is, as you've pointed out, comparably priced. Not sure what your point even is.

Well the 32GB 4s was around $760 retail. So an $800+ price tag for a 32GB 5th gen, might be right.

The Xperia S is superior to the iPhone 4S and cheaper, how does that not make it a real competitor ?

The Galaxy S2 had higher specs than the iPhone 4S and was slightly cheaper.

A lot of people buy phones on payg which come unlocked to the major networks (Orange/T-Mobile/O2/Vodafone). Yes on contract, the price difference is'nt that much but the Xperia S and Galaxy S2/3 are better phones.

@sykozis

Galaxy Nexus 16GB £321 including delivery http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Gala...4077685&sr=8-1

Significantly cheaper than the iPhone 4S 16GB.

The Galaxy S3 (much higher specs than iPhone 4S) sim free is £500, same price as iPhone 4S 16GB.

How is the iPhone 4S not overpriced ?

even on contract, everytime a new iphone comes out, if you're looking at £30-£35/month contracts the phone will still cost you between £80-£150, when with a top end Android (S2 a year ago and S3 now) you get them for free with a £35/month contract pretty much everywhere, even on £30/month. this is in the UK so yes, iphones are overpriced compared to competition even on contracts, not to mention that the competition is miles ahead anyway.

What makes this story really funny is while you were trying to portray people as stupid for not taking your obviously superior advice, you were just as clueless as the Apple buying drone friend of yours.

The iPhone is the one product Apple sells that appeals to people like myself who are life long PC owners and thoroughly hate Apple computers. Their phones have very polished OS which is very simple and logically laid out which is very important when you are driving. Their build quality is also excellent. my Iphone 4 is rock solid. Unlike many of my friends Android phones which are constantly breaking, freezing up, having the battery pop out, or just not charging past 5%. LoL.

no, just no. while driving? you know an android phone would be a lot easier to use while driving because you can customize your homescreens no end and its easier to use? also about build quality. dop an iPhone and say galaxy s3 from 10 feet and see which one comes out feeling more solid.
