Prototype 2 in CFX enabled, very bad performance for now, need a CAP or new drivers.

Y tried with this, and with the 19 July unofficial.

Cant play Skyrim with these drivers, hangs while loading and then crashes into desktop with error "Display driver AMD driver stopped working and now successfully recovered"

EDIT: Never mind, it turns out, I have to disable the water reflection (land, trees, object, sky) in option, with these disable, it runs well on ultra along with these drivers. Never had problem with water reflections on previous drivers.

Hmmm so at this point in time it's best just to wait for the official WQHL 12.7 release with 12.8 BETA. Am I understanding correctly?

Do you know when in August these will be due? I'm really liking the sound of 25% more performance in Skyrim and 20% more performance in Shogun 2. Not that I really need it with my new desktop rig, but every bit helps, especially when modded.

There will not be an official WHQL 12.7, the next official WHQL driver will be the 12.8's, out sometime this month, as they don't do monthly WHQL's anymore

It's windows vista (note protruding start orb) with rainmeter.

These drivers are good for me

I have an HIS radeon 7850 2GB

On Windows 7 64bt SP1:
I am able to overclock to the limits of my hardware not those set by AMD

I do not get random lockups on adobe flash when acceleration is used ( although I still turn it off to prevent downclocks when watching a flash video AND playing a game)

I do not get an responsive black screen when monitor idles

Computer succesfully goes to sleep and resumes

On Windows 8 Release Preview 32bit:
I am able to overclock to the limits of my hardware not those set by AMD

I do not get random lockups on adobe flash when acceleration is used ( although I still turn it off to prevent downclocks when watching a flash video AND playing a game)

I do not get VIDEO_SCHEDULER error when monitor idles

Computer does not go into sleep mode when it should do after 5 mins, but also doesnt BSOD either.

And so overall the best driver I have tried for general stability.

i'll check for flickering and skyrim etc later, but very good first impressions of this driver

Anyone getting the blue screen + 100% fan issue, try removing any overclock you might have, either via the AMD drivers, MSI Afterburner or anything else. That completely fixed it for me. I'm even using MSI Afterburner for monitoring and fan control still, no problem. I even have the power limit set to +%20 in the drivers. Just adjusting the core or memory clock seems to trigger it.

I'm getting grey screen of death once every three to five days. Going to give zero overclock a shot but if that fixes it I'll be very sad as high overclock ceiling was the main draw 7970 for me.

Your memory is overclocked too far.
