Jon Lord passed away today due to a pancreatic cancer.
He was the organ/keyboard player of the band Deep Purple.
God bless his soul, he'll be missed

They were a inspiration to many many bands though! things would look different if they never existed. same goes for the beatles.
maybe i should have said hardrock. to quote wikipedia "They are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Purple

There are plenty of idiots out there who can play the guitar. Not many who can play it WELL. Any fool can bash out 3 chords and call it punk, but that doesn't make you a musician by a long shot.
