1.25v @ 4.4GHz or 1.27v at 4.5GHz; all power saving features active.

Yeah, I got a good chip.

Yeah you set it manually it will lock at the voltage no matter what the CPU speed.

I guess your first experiment with it was unsuccessful.

I know on my ASUS I run pretty much all the voltage settings on Auto(run a higher LLC, set VRM frequency and an optimal power phase on my motherboard)
The ASUS on auto is pretty much overvolting at 4.6(well over 1.4) So I just set a negative offset(0.010 oddly enough) and it runs at 1.35-6V max which is perfect and of course it drops to 1.6 and 0.98V when it's just "chillin"

to enable offset mode i have to set voltage to normal instead of auto, but then load line callibration becomes unavailable.
i have tried offset mode from -20 to +20 and cant get it working somehow.

Hmm I guess Gigabyte still has a wacky difficult BIOS.

This is my first ASUS board(I was an ABit man and they had an awesome BIOS)
The ASUS UEFI BIOS is really great. Simple enough to use but has all the advanced features you need too.

1.5v for just over a couple of months. Not sure what category I should choose but as it's 1.5v or below at full load I'll have to tick 1.4v to 1.5v.

Amazingly at 4.4Ghz with stock voltage O__O It can do 4.6Ghz before more voltage is needed it seems. I briefly tried to undervolt with this mobo, but it wouldn't boot into windows. Will try again later.

Oh that's Golden Chip Club worthy?
How about 5Ghz at 1.44v?
Could possibly go a notch lower on the voltage, but it works. Didn't test that long because I don't have a proper GPU at the moment.

5GHz at 1.40v for me

No need of such power yet of course, downclocked it right back to my regular OC.

Yeah 4.4Ghz at stock voltage is plenty fast already. I plan to keep this CPU+MOBO for maybe five years. Being able to know that I can hit 5Ghz later on is a good feeling.

Running at 4.5Ghz with 1.32vcore.

I´m not 100% sure its 100% stable, but time tells. It did run 12hours of prime.

How about this 1.375 in bios in windows 1.368 for 5ghz no HT

[IMG][/IMG]

Can't go through a lot of runs of prime right now i have a room temp of 33c (no aircondition) outside is like 42c.

I have gone through 6 hours Prime95 blend test turned out stable and gaming and other stuff hasn't crashed yet.Although i do not plan to keep this oc i was just testing how far i can go with the lowest amount of vcore.I am quite happy at 4.5 at 1.23v.

Sandy Bridge's predecessor (Westmere) is on a similar 32 nm lithography if that counts . I run that max 1.4 V with good air cooling, load temps low 70s, 4.53 GHz with 6 cores on my Xeon (980X).

Just did another quick test at 5.2 1.40v not sure if it is stable at all but it is way to hot to stress test it now i will keep you updated.
