Thanks for the vote anticupidon..

Small update

I ordered a bunch of parts last week, but it's all in backorder and won't arrive till next week.. So I continued priming parts:

This part has 1 layer of primer and is sanded with 600P

These have 2 layers of primer and are also sanded with 600P

Closeup, shows how 'grainy' the primer is before sanding

Update!

Made a fancontroller in the right pannel, just above where tthe 7"touchscreen will be:

Prepared the psu cover, a backbannel and a sidepannel for priming:

And prepared a couple of parts for the 2nd layer of paint:

Not so big an update, but all this stuff is very time consuming.... till next time!

So you're making all these panels yourself? If that's the case (no pun intended) then this is bad ass. Also love the name, took me a few moments to work out that it was 'inverted' well inverted I thought it was some freaky Russian word and was going to ask for a translation.

Very nice work. Your attention to details is impressive. The 12v EATX connectors are -well- off the hook!

My only concern is that you are plugging your naked PSU straight into casing that is part of the rig's main shell. If you aren't ultra-carefull with insulation, you run a good chance of frying the system as well as yourself when you turn the rig on for the first time. That would be a shame!

Looking forward to the final result!

Thanks for the compliments And I've been very carefull with the PSU, tested it in the custom housing a couple of times and it worked fine, so I'm pretty confident it will work just fine when it's in the case too

Update!

Sanding and painting is a time consuming business, so I'm a bit slow with updates recently. Good news is that I have completely taken the case apart and sanded most of the parts in preparation for painting. I've also finished painting a couple of parts:

The PSU housing: (Sorry for the links, the pictures are too big to include in the post..)

And yet another paint update:

I'm done with the primer on all the frame and all the panels (minus the panel with the mobo, I still need to drill and cut in that.)
All parts were sanded to P1200 and then got their first layers of primer. After a day I sanded it it all to P1200 again and added the second layer of primer. After it dried I sanded it to P2000 and used a cleaner to get rid of all the fingerprints etc in preparation for paint:

Teasertime! (phonepics, sorry!)

Yesterday I started rebuilding the frame:

Wired up the main powerconnector & On/Off switch. The blue cable is for the 7" touchscreen.

Front bar = shiny!

I've almost finished the right sidepanel. Tonight I've installed the rads, the touchscreen and the fancontroller:

The print with the on/off switch for the screen is on the left side of the bottom frame:

Domenut as temporary button (any ideas what to replace it with?)

Small update while I'm raising funds for the last parts (CPU & GPU...I need a sponsor lol)
I've sleeved and installed a couple of small parts: (phone pics, sorry)

Pump:

Powersupply:

Powerbutton:

And I've installed the ledstrips in the top of the case:

I also have a small movie of the RGB leds in action, but it's on my FB page, and I have no idea how to get that on youtube so I can share it here (If anyone knows how to do this, please tell me ) So here's the link to the clip I made:

Hands down the best case I've ever seen made. Detail, craftsmanship, and ingenuity are impressive to say the least.

Really surprised you are waiting for sponsorship. Seen a lot of other generic builds that had full rides. If I were rich, the check would be in the mail so you could finish it.
