Default Noob question - 07-01-2012, 17:40 | posts: 2

Im running a crossfire set up with 2 gigabyte radeon 4850's (512 mb). My issue began with some funky noises and random shut downs.. upon closer inspection it turned out that the top card in my set up was the source of the noise as the fan wasn't working right.. it would either be on and squealing or just off. Whether the fan was on or off, it was still running incredibly hot. The bottom card in the set however seems to be fine. Here is where the noob question comes in.. how do i go back to just a single card set up until i can get a replacement for the bad card? (yes I am a noob, just trying to learn.. any help and advice would be greatly appreciated)
