Grab one of those cheap ass (fake) xfi xtreme-audio, they support crystallizer and cmss3d and those are the main features of these cards anyway.
I used one when I had a crossfire setup, and it was no less than my xfi xtreme-music. (which is a real xfi)

But you're not listening to digital sound.
You listen to analog sound. The conversion from digital to analog, and how the analog signal is treated along the way from the DAC to your ears is what really matter. That's why some cards are more expensive because they use higher quality components to produce and deliver higher quality analog signal to your speakers.
Higher quality DAC, capacitors, opamps, PCB will cost money, but they'll do the job

Nope, I have the older brother (Titanium Fatal1ty Pro) which is the same as champion but without the fron panel (which in my oppinion is useless as any of those cards can be connected to the case's front panel).
My oppinion is:
Drivers wise --> is ****, but some 3rd party ones do work well (PAX)
Hardware wise --> Sounds awesome.
I believe hardware wise they are very similar (Recon vs Titanium)

The current Recon3D for gaming have very low specs in comparison to even their older card not to mention offerings from other companies.
If sound quality is your best bet...I would do more research.
