Default MSI GTX 560 Ti HAWK - 06-21-2012, 19:32 | posts: 524

Hi, I need info for this particular card.
MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti HAWK GDDR5 1GB/256bit, 950MHz/4200MHz, PCI-E 2.0 x16, HDTV+HDCP,HDMI, 2xDVI, Twin Frozr III

I'm on budget but the choice will fall between this card and HD 6870.

I'm concered only with high power usage. Does high power usage and temps reflects on GPU longevity and durability ? I want to be without problems for 5 years with this card with next gen games.
Is this card reliable ?
6870 leeks PSU lower .

It is rather important with either of those cards you know your PSU's spec's you can't be hooking either of those cards up to a cheap 350W PSU.

The 560 ti is comparable to the 6950...So get the 560ti if the price is same
Yes it uses about 13% more power

Yeah +1 560 Ti, you should also probably get a GTX 560 Ti 448 Core, if you're going to go with a 560 Ti.

If you're not going 560 ti 448 core, at least go with a 2gb vram version of the 560ti.

Something like this.

Get the extra vram, it's always nice for anything (especially next gen games). The 1GB will give you trouble with Max Payne 3. Plus you're looking for 5 years plus usage.
