Default Microphone "Temporarily unavailable" - 06-15-2012, 10:13 | posts: 439 | Location: Sweden

Hello guys.

I'm trying to help a distant friend setting up the microphone for use in Mumble or other programs but something isn't properly set up.

My friend owns this mainboard http://www.asus.se/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A785TDV_EVO/ and has the following Win7 audio properties set up http://oi49.tinypic.com/rr5ekk.jpg

Sorry that it's in swedish but as you can see "Studio Mix" is activated and when my friend right clicks the Mic, the option "use as standard device" is unavailable.

I did recommend to install the sounddrivers found on the ASUS website but unfortunately it didn't help.

Any ideas? Thank you!

An addition, when my friend is on mumble and presses the push to talk button then I hear whatever audio is playing. Observe that my friend has no speakers and only uses headphones.

Does that help?
