Yea...most games what is a can of beans, and to dodge death like you did has to be so gratifying.

The longer I live, the less risk I seem to want to take, just so I can survive as long as possible, but when facing death and having no other option and knowing you wont make it to the next farm or town and pulling it off....that is truely survival.

anybody know if British armed forces gives any more eyecandy that Private Military Company, which I already own.

Was thinking about getting BAF.

Yeah, I think surviving a good long while and accumulating some good gear might change the way you play, especially when encountering unknown players. I've gotten shot a couple times trying to make "friends", and I didn't really care as I only had the basic goods. If I had some hard-won choice equipment, I'd probably avoid people entirely or shoot first if somebody intruded into my space. Interesting stuff...

cool thing happened last time i played dayz. it was night time in elektro, and suddenly 8-10 random people joined up, and made a team. it's not often that happens with that many people. i think it was because direct chat was working again, it makes it easier to communicate with strangers. it was a lot of fun.

So addicted to this game, at first I hated it but after I figured it out, its pretty damn good. When you figure out how to get stuff, you start to see how this game pulls you in, then you don't want to die, but you don't want to log out either haha.

The trick to getting stuff is to either go into town into the big buildings that you can get inside, or stick to the towns away from the shore, especially in barns and things with multiple floors or rooms. Usually all the gear around the sea (where everyone spawns) has been picked over already.

1.70 is out now.

If you want to play BAF for BAF and not for eyecandy in DayZ get it. If you just want DayZ eyecandy it's $10 for player skins. The ones in 90% of the videos and pictures (the ones with the super low res) are skins from BAF that most players don't have.

I've been playing A2Free just to see how I like the game. It is not bad but it is fairly buggy sometimes when joining servers and then scripts are not loaded, thus forcing you to close the game and restart then rejoin.

Might be the custom online campaigns.

How is the stability of this mod? Is there still an end goal to this yet? How does it compare to the dynamic zombie mode in terms of mission objectives?

I played DZ and it was fun a little while, especially trying to get to the chopper, but the next step was a let down in that it just became a survival sandbox. You could not even barricade or hold up in buildings for instance.

Ah, I didn't know this. I don't own BAF, I might just get it to support BI.

I think BAF is a great DLC. Nice campaign, and it has the best vehicle models in Arma2.

Hadn't seen the video, cheers. Looking forward to the community alpha!

That's an impressive demo. I think I'm going to wait for ARMA3 and skip ARMA2:CO and just deal with the free version.

So the DLC for ARMA II, BAF and PMC gives you extra stuff in DayZ as well?

No, just higher quality textures on the survivor and camo characters.

Me and a friend came up on 4 tents and found a couple of tents inside one. Haven't seen any lootable tents on the ground yet.

I spawned in the water after using a skin, apparently it's bugged. So don't use skins unless you wanna spawn in the ocean

Yeah. I had just found a Mk 48 LMG, then I found a skin and logged out. The next time I logged in I was in the ocean.

At first I thought it was just an unfortunate coiencidence, but same thing happened after I found another skin
