Opening Ceremony will start 20 minutes before the first match (poland-greece). here is a sneak preview: UEFA 2012 Opening Ceremony Rehearsal

The ceremony begins twenty minutes before the opening match between Greece and Poland on June 8. The show will "combine innovation and heritage and sport and culture together, so the first European Championships in Central and Eastern Europe to honor," was in a press release from UEFA. During this ceremony, the EK-song for the first time to hear. The song was composed by Gyorgy and Karma Tronic and will be named The game of the World. The famous Italian DJ Karma Tronic Adam Gyorgy will work with the opening ceremony of Euro 2012 take care. Karma Tronic comes from Milan. His career gained momentum when Sony America asked him to track Beyonce Ring the Alarm remix, which is an instant hit was. More than 800 extras will it show up during the opening ceremony. This will happen about twenty minutes before kickoff of Poland-Greece begin. The national anthems of Poland and Greece are sung by the 75-piece choir of the University of Warsaw, led by Irina Bogdanovich.

Can't wait. Great first post btw.

Obviously I want England to win but in all honesty we have probably the worst team we've had for years. WIth Scott Parker, Wilshere and Gerrard all injured or doubtful we have no real talent in central midfield and will resort to the mundane players like Barry to compete with the likes of Xavi.

I'd love the Netherlands to win, although I hope they have got rid of the nasty elements of their game that they introduced at the end of the World Cup. Nigel de Jong has no place in an international football team as classy as the Netherlands imo.

Having said all that I vote Spain to win, although if Puyol is out they could really be weak in the air. Fingers crossed.

Been playing the euro expansion on fifa12 to get in the mood

which btw is very good I think. the expedition mode lets you make a team of the best in europe and you start off with one star player..

yeah I had to choose Ronaldo and that's the team am going with for Euro2012. Portugal!

Idk how spain will play, i wont bet spain since its too hard to win 3 big tourneys straight, so ill go germany (but i want spain to win ).

Anyways we have different possible playstyles, not only tiki-taka, silva mata and cesc combo is not the same, they are faster. But yeah, without puyol we'll need another defender, also villa is out...(or at least injuried, he may not be able to play, or at least he couldnt play this year)

Netherlands looking good, although they were playing NI. England not so convincing but Oxlade chamberlain and a few others were good. I'd start with Defoe and Welbeck although that would mean a 4-4-2 or perhaps even a 4-3-3. (ashley young is a def becuase I think he is a better finisher than ox-chamberlain and walcott).

On the positive young, chamberlain, walcott, defoe are pretty good subs/rotation players. Milner should be used in central midfield.

Still dont know why Micah richards wasnt taken...on that alone Roy doesnt fill me with much confidence...

I think Spain is the favourite because they have a very nice team and their midfield is basically the same of Barça. The only thing missing is Messi...

Germany and Netherlands also seem strong.

just give the ball to Cristiano. I am actually going with Portugal to do well...you have some brilliant players and lots of pace (also pepe in defence). Although you are perhaps lacking a center forward...is Liedson fit?

Liedson wasn´t called up for this Euro. As for Ronaldo he sucks when he plays for Portugal because he doesn´t have players capable of making good passes for him to score like in Madrid and because the coaches insist in playing him as a classical winger instead of playing as a striker who plays in the sides...
And because he thinks he´s a god sent to Portugal...
