Default Will 7950 or 7970 fit in my case? - 05-31-2012, 04:58 | posts: 1

Hello guys this is my first post here and i would appreciate it if you help me out with an issue.

I currently have ATI 5770(x2) and i would like to replace them with the 7950 or 7970 but I'm not sure if they would fit in my case.

My case is this http://www.raidmax.com/chassis/smilodon_black.html

Thanks.

I have that same case but in the closet it was my old old case, I doubt it would fit even if you remove the hard drive cage. One thing is you will not be-able to lower down the mobo tray door with the card. Also if it does fit will have to remove that blue fan bar..

The 7970 is 27cm long .. ( just checked in guru3d review ).. Try mesure if it will pass or not.

But dont forget you will need a bit more place for install it ( hé hé the dvi will not pass alone the bracket fixation otherwise. you need to get a bit of place for position the card.)
