The GTX 560 is the same as the 460 1gb. Anything less than the 570 or 560ti 448 is not worth it, really. If you were to buy now I'd say 570.

The gtx 560 is better at everything than the gtx 460 while the Ti version furthers the performance gap, but as lucidus said its not worth it, get atleast a 570 if you want to make it worth it.

I agree with Agent AO1, but if you must upgrade today, upgrade to at the least a 560Ti 448.

I upgraded from Gtx460 to Gtx560ti 448 cores and felling huge difference...Go for 560ti 448 cores or 570.

you will see a significant bottleneck. you wont regret the buy though. If you do get a chance do upgrade MB and CPU you will see a all round performance increase. get your self an Ivybridge, there really not that expensive considering the power behind them

What he said But right now you may get a good deal on a sandybridge and z68 MB with vendors trying to get rid of stock I saw the 2600k fro $275 at compUSA the other day and good z68 boards ar in the $150 range. Plus iirc the IB have heat issues.

edit: BTW just noticed you have a 955 BE PII x4 that may overclock to 3.8~4.0 if so you may not have too much of a bottleneck if you don't have an after market cpu cooler this one works really well on AM3 cpu's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103099 with that you should be able to get a good overclock and might hold off doing a complete upgrade.

If you are considering a 570, why not look @ the 670? Less power requirements, but more graphic power. The Gigabyte card I have is running only 5% shy of a 680's stock benchmarks with the factory OC. I can only imagine what this card is capable of when I get brave enough to start messing around with it! I realize that the 670 is $100 more than the 570's, but it's still $100 cheaper than a 680!

(Edit) Whoops didn't see your Palit order post!!

Congrats!!!
