I want to see bigger numbers! 353/263 is getting annoying is there a faster SATA 3 card yet with more than 1 PCIe lane per controller?

Sure, but pretty much all are RAID cards that aren't cheap.

OCZ Revo drives are some of the fastest you can buy but I think they only come out at around 750GB and are INSANELY expensive!!

Last time I checked it cost around £2k if not more.

You should be able to RAID0 a bunch of SATA3 SSDs together on your southbridge, if you have fast enough ones it should hit 2 GB/s

If you want higher speeds, you will need a seperate raid card and a few ssd's.

sata connectors on mb's are not that fast.

Ones that are, come on 3 to 500 dollar mb's.

I got an areca 1213-4i which has 512 ram onboard as well as being a pcie"8X" device.

I have 4X corsair F3 and with kaspersky antivirus and firewall up and active, i have 2880 and 1780 read/write speeds as per ATTO.

You just not gonna hit those speeds without a real raid card and sev eral ssd's.

If money is no object, there is a arcea1213-8i which can support 8 ssd's!!!

another nice controller is the LSI 9260-4i. It has 4 port sata 3 internal and can do pretty much any raid out there. It's a 8x pci-e card too. I had 4 vertex 3 120gb's running off of it once and got 1gb read and 900mb write. price is about $400 with the mini-sas to sata breakout cable.
