Default Flickering shadows and reduced benchmarks scores with any catalyst driver - 05-18-2012, 17:01 | posts: 82 | Location: Toronto- Canada

When I got my Sapphire 7950 OE and installed the disc's driver, it was all fine. But once I started to update newer drivers and beta drivers, I end up using driver sweeper and even atiman uninstaller to get a stable driver.
now when I go back to my original driver from the disc, I get flickering everywhere. I even tried updating and trying every driver and I still get the same thing. Even my unigine score have reduced by about 100 regardless of driver.
What could the problem be?
I guess it started when I tried the 12.3 WHQL from amd's website because it was the first time my pc crashed and had broken drivers so I had to run in safe mode.

Do you get BSOD with "atikmpag.sys"?
if so I believe its an issue with zerocore, gcn, and windows. I had similar issue and was able to fix it in BIOS. Try these links:
