Default buying a laptop without OS? - 05-19-2012, 23:03 | posts: 679 | Location: kuwait

is buying a laptop without a os increase the chance it could be defected when i receive it ? like if they installed a os any issue will be apparent ? also does a freshly installed os on a laptop need a lot of drivers to function properly?

p.s im talking about win7 64 over here

It's rare these days that laptops don't come preinstalled with Windows. They basically all do these days even if you don't want it.

It will not increase the chances of it becoming defective when you buy it.

for some ''strange'' reason in my home country laptops are very often sold with GNU/Linux,
We are poor.
So poor that Microfrost hate us.

OP you have the right to return it,if something is malfunctioning.
right?
so ,buy it ,install OS of your choice, run some test,be happy
