Default W7 loading AHCI driver on each boot - normal? - 05-14-2012, 17:14 | posts: 2,631 | Location: Sweden

Right, quick question here for you guys with SSDs setup in AHCI ( everyone? ).

Is it normal that I get this message on EVERY single boot-up?

The message annoys me and has never been there before ( used IDE before ), and well it is new and made me wounder?

Seems, odd to me really. If it did it once I'd get it but why on each and every boot? Never did this using IDE.

And nothing to do with Windows either. Nothing more that the SATA controller initializing and detecting what is connected before proceeding with the normal bios boot.

I have exactly the same since my fresh installation. Quite annoying.
