Default RGB minus the B - 05-15-2012, 13:15 | posts: 1

noob here

well... its 6:10 am still on my computer... bad bad DSPS (delayed sleep phase syndrome) sufferer for 10 years now. i thought of a good idea to help get to sleep at night-- block the blue light on my laptop screen. can this be done using riva tuner? I have gone into color management on the graphics card and cranked up red and green and turned down blue but there's still a lot of blue. Is there any hacky things I can do to get blue down even further I tried doing custom rgb curve in rivatuner, but I don't really understand how to use it. Anyway, if I can just altogether disable blue color on the monitor or graphic card that'd be pretty funky atleast just to try out (and better if I can switch it on/off; as in profiles)

Can anyone help me out here, like I said, I'm noob.

I think this can help a lot of people!

Try changing settings in Nvidia Control Panel -> Adjust desktop color settings.

Ever notice how people texting at night have that eerie blue glow?

Or wake up ready to write down the Next Great Idea, and get blinded by your computer screen?

During the day, computer screens look good—they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun.
f.lux

F.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.
