I package my internet with HDTV and home phone, it's $150/month Cdn, but it's rated 100mbps.
@Gerardfraser. My cousin lives in the middle of nowhere too up in Northern Alberta (like 1 1/2hr north of Edmonton on an acreage) and he gets either wireless internet through some company, and pays normal costs. Have you looked into satellite or something as well?

About 10 euros. unlimited (with discount) ADSL, cable (unlimited) is about 14 euros 10/1 mbps.
Mobile is way overpriced (as regular also) and it have limits around 6GB or something, my sister uses on notebook.

I called them today and said if my speed doesn't improve I'll be switching providers. They may look at putting in a cabinet close to my house...fingers crossed.
Telstra Clear salesman came to my house last week trying to sell me the $75 p/m home plan. Said they have their own line so don't rely on Telecom wholesale, I'm thinking that could improve my speed.
Xnet are really consistent but TC looks appealing, what's the service/reliability like with TC?
I'm in Hamilton btw.

I was on Xnet when i was living In Timaru a few years ago, moved up to Wellington and changed to TC as we had cable to the house, had no problems with them but i ive no idea about their adsl2+ service

Well, my unlimited mobile data plan is 2,95 €/month (but speed is capped to normal 3G speed so it really isn't that fast). Our ADSL2+ 24/3 connection costs 36,90 €/month (obviously no data caps or anything stupid like that).

~ $25 USD / month, Unlimited, 5 GB normal usage, over 5 GB the speed goes down to 64 kbps
It's 3G mobile, using USB stick modem
Several years ago I downloaded around 200 MB and that cost me around $ 100. It was on different provider.

i definitely feel for you We have downloaded entire TB's in a month and I would really hate to see what kind of bill that would generate
But we pay $60 for a cap and throttle-free 75/10 connection as part of package of tv, phone, and internet.
