Default Best sub £300 monitor? - 05-07-2012, 19:47 | posts: 154 | Location: UK

Hi. I'm looking to get either a monitor or a tv as a birthday present. The maximum price will be £300, and I'm thinking that a monitor will be the better idea.

I will be using it with my PS3, as well as with a laptop. In the summer I will be going to university, and will be taking it with me, so I need something that won't be too difficult to transport, although I can get my parents to drive me to university, so that shouldn't be a problem.

The main use will be for gaming, as well as for watching some films on. I would ideally like a 16:9 ratio and a resolution of 1920x1080 to avoid black bars when playing on my PS3, but other than that I'm unsure what to go for with regards to size, display type, and other things.

I don't really have any idea what to go for though, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou in advance,

Daniel.
