Once the mass sale starts on may 7th, lets say they sell out in couple of days, is there any chance it will come back in stock?
I was also reading that the gtx 690 hydro copper from eva will be released a month after its release of the gtx 690.
Is there still a chance to get theses several of weeks or a month after may 7th??
Whats the chances coming back in stock once they may 7th is done?

Of course they will come back in stock but they will be in short supply and will probably sell out rather quickly,i think it will be like this for at least 2 months.

While the'll more likely do sell out, demand won't greatly exceed supply with the current price

hmm, seems like this card is going to be in collectors hand even more rare then the rare 5970 or the 590, maybe fars it sounds to me, combined.
I'll defint pick one up, but in quad, nah, and the reason I say nah is this:
since the card is 4gb, its really on 2gb, shared memory, this means If I do quad sli, its still 2gb, I want to take my insane settings to the next level but if its limited to 2gb then I am skipping 2gb.
Speaking of this, what if I did gtx 680 4gb in main pci-x slot and the gtx 690 on the second pci slot, will it be shared to the 4gb or to the lesser one? 690 memory?
if the card has 3-4gb per gpu, then I might consider 2 but only 2gb, ergh, I am going to pass, tons of power there but could take it more if the vram was more.
I also tested my vram usage on my 590, if two gpus are using lets say 750mb of vram, how much would one gpu take if I disabled sli mode??? answer: vram usage is the same, does not change.

From
Overclock.net.....
One thing though, when I picked up at the vendor I got my card from, the associates there told me Nvidia is not making a lot of these cards because of the high quality material they used (no plastic at all), he told me to expect VERY low quantities of this card in the near future, even more rare than the GTX 590 when they were first released.
I expect this card to sell out much within 10 minutes every time or at least 2 times faster than the GTX 680 which is the flagship card Nvidia has been mass producing to keep up with the demand.

XSPC???
I love there blocks, they arnt the best looking blocks on the block, but they are MUCH cheaper then the waterblock pose's out there and not only that, they perform almost every bit as good or just as good for the fraction of the price compared to other WB's, their inner workings on their WB's might be bland compared to others but I'll tell you what, I owned 5970 WB, and this one now, gtx 590 block, and they perform excellent, the vrm temps on the 5970 was hot as hell though but the gpu temps on the 5970 and the 590 is excellent.
owned 2 xspc dual gpu wb's, and this time on the 690, I am defint sticking with xspc again, they look alright, not about looks, price and performance on xspc wb's are Excellent, alot cheaper then the rest of the bandwagon.
I also used a heatkiller gpu3 on my 5870,that block was kick ass too.

Im going to wait and see what the EVGA block is like, other choices will be EK and Koolance, ive used EK stuff before and ive had no problems while using PT nuke but Eddy from EK advises against it as it corrodes blocks or some BS like that even though there is no hard evidence suggesting so,i think he was looking for a scapegoat tbh, because there problems in the past were from badly engineered blocks regarding the milling process is what i beleive after viewing several pictures and making my own assumptions.
So this time around i may go for a Koolance block as there pretty good,or one from Swiftech if they make one(doubt i though).

If xspc dont make one, I i'll do a coin toss on the other ones.
I'll probably get the heatkiller one if there is going to be one, if not then maybe koolance, swifttech or ek.
Xspc is my top choice, Excellent performance to price ratio.

nVidia can't even make enough GTX680's to keep up with demand....so, if you want a GTX690, better keep refreshing your browser til one shows up and get through the ordering process as fast as possible.
