I signed up as a junior just to see what it is like. I'm pretty impressed with it so far especially for being pre-alpha. I only had a short time with my xbox controller but I'm looking forward to hooking up my wheel. Even with the controller the cars handled well.
I'll probably end up upgrading to Team or full member if all goes well.

Nice vid, great track. Fantastic trackside detail.
The old layout was even better, but the mayhem in 94 killed that version.

The last build I downloaded (187 junior build) was about 3.2 gig so the latest one is probably around 3.5.

Nope, 197 is 3.2Gb, 202 is a patch for 197, so only 277Mb. They have announced that they should be patching from now on, rather that full builds, but I imagine we may have to if there are major changes, also to allow for new comers that may not have access to v197 later on.

WTH is up with game GPU wise! Usually see temps of about 55-60c in Skyrim maxed with gfx mods on my gtx580s water cooled, but in Pcars GPU 1 is maxed out and sitting on 99c it even forced my fan profile out the window and maxed out to cool the GPU due to temp. any suggestions.
My thoughts are:
1. Re-install drivers
2. Update to latest drivers
3. This game is awesome.
NVM: Fixed it

No, haven't had any issues like that so far (with different Nvidia cards). Especially on water cooling I'd re-seat the block or check if the pump is still working.

I was playing around with sli bits DX1.x in Inspector and found that under:_GLOBAL_DRIVER_PROFILE (Base Profile) using SLI Bits DX1xx: 0x00000004 (Need for Speed: The Run, Alien vs. Triangles Demo, Cascades) give hefty boost in pcars.
No other settings changed in Inspector.
NDriver: 295.73
GTX580 SLI
Thread optimization: ON
Vsync: Force On
Gpu Usage is as:
GPU1 Max 99
GPU2 Max 59 (average is about 50).
