Default upgrade GTX 285 - 05-03-2012, 06:40 | posts: 48

Hello everybody.
I think it's time to upgrade my videocard which is GTX 285.
What would you recommend ? GTX 570 ? Is there a big difference between those 2 cards ? About 40 % ? More ?
Please give me some advices.
My CPU is Intel I7 920 @ 2.67 GHz, PSU Corsair 650 W, 8 GB DDR3.
Thanks in advance.
PS : if i upgrade the graphic card, should i OC the CPU or not ?

On your place i would rather go for GTX 570 that 285 SLI.
Cuz 285 SLI would draw much more power and has no DX11 support, and in the end after some time you will have two old cards that wont be easy to sell to someone...

But i would rather go for AMD HD 7850 cuz its cheaper solution.

Check performace comparison HD 7850 vs GTX 570:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/549?vs=518
+HD 7850 draws less power than GTX 570.
