    You need to use the correct INF, US driver with US INF file or INT driver with INT INF file.

    edit: that link in 1st post is International driver (200mb).

    Gonna try them and post impressions here, for the 5xx users...

    -----------------------

    So, it seems that everything is working nicely. I noticed a slight improvement on the image quality, and the 3d/2d clocks are changing as expected. I modded the .inf myself, using the file from 301.32.

    Just played Metro 2033 for like an hour, and everything is cool enough for me to keep using these drivers.

    please explain how to use the inf file and the exe?

    edit: Ok. I can extract by executing the exe. I can then replace the inf file but I still get card unsupported. GTX680 here. Any tips?

    hmm these are from the newest R301_07 branch, top $hit :nerd:

    300.89: r300_68-13
    301.24: r301_07-12
    301.25: r301_07-14
    301.32: r300_00-124
    301.34: r300_07-38

    1. extract nvidia installer (right-click and extract to)
    2. open extraced folder and go to Display.driver folder
    3. copy & overwrite downloaded INF.ini file in Display.driver folder
    4. go back to main nvidia driver directory and run setup.exe
    5. install

    you can try my inf, but its international (x64)

    Try editing the ini yourself. Just find the line
    [NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1]and add the line below
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1180% = Section033, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1180 GTX680

    Then scroll down and find
    [Strings]
    DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows Vista / Windows 7 (64 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
    NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
    NVIDIA_A = "NVIDIA"
    NVIDIA_B = "NVIDIA"

    and add this NVIDIA_DEV.1180 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680"

    It is much easier than you think. I have a text file with the above info and just paste it in. It took me longer to post this than it did to mod the inf and install the drivers. Just back up original ini just in case.

    Ever since 285 drivers I've had an audio delay with h264 DXVA decoding so I'm stuck with 280 drivers. :(

    Thanks guys. For some reason, only the US English version works. I couldn't mod the international.

    Downscaling works up to 1620p on automatic. So I got a universal 2X OGSSAA. :)

    The 300 series drivers have 5%-20% performance gains in games, how much performance boost do you want per driver.. Same goes with features, fxaa and adaptive v-sync in cpanel..

    installed int. version yesterday evening and apparently no issues, no loss of performances compared to the 301.32 dev drivers which were very good already.

    Thanks TeckFreaK and Spets for the int.INF ;)

    Same - Thanks TechFreak and Spets for the int.inf. Installed with zero issues. Hoping to get some better performance via sli in Risen 2.

    I would be more interesting in performance boost for 680 users.
    Has there been any since 301.10?

    Not that I've noticed.

    Sadly, the black torso/arms bug in Bully Scholarship Edition has not been fixed in these drivers either and I suspect (though I haven't checked) that the water glitch (random blocky pixels) in Binary Domain is still there too.

    The only boost in performance I have had from 301.10/301.24 was moving to 300.83. Made BF3/Skyrim a bit smoother for me.

    Starting to think I didn't add in the 680 strings..
    Anyone with a 680 used the INF I made? Sorry if I left it out.
