Hi

Recently every time I start up my computer I get a cmd window pop up with a load of lines running. It's called AMD video transcoding device. What does this do and is there anyway to stop it from occurring?

You have to go to the Programs and Features > AMD Catalyst Install Manager and then uninstall the AMD Video Transcoding Device. You can just as well also remove the AMD Video Converter if you don't use it.

Hi Neogenic
Welcome to Guru3d.

What does the transcoding device actually do? It just started showing the cmd screen when booting into Win7 desktop.
