Default Asus UEFI bios safe to use? 3770 non K @ 4.2ghz - 05-01-2012, 14:42 | posts: 25

I have a z77 sabertooth + 3770 [non K]. Didn't plan to overclock, but I saw the options: Power saving, normal and asus optimal. So I thought I could check it out for fun.

After clicking asus optimal, my cpu speed could go up to 4.2ghz [vcore 1.18, 41 x 103] when loading.
are these settings safe? is it safe for a non k version?

Using stock heatsink temporarily. The temps for idle are 45c~48c, load can reach till 95c. [The stock heatsink is really thin and small only use it temporarily]
