It's not an MMO, its the exact same as D2, only you need to be connected online at all times.

well yea... i know it's not an MMO.... but that doesn't necessarily mean there wouldn't be a monthly fee, either.

Last I heard it would be F2P. Since the game isn't an MMO and has a single-player option, it would be hard to attract customers with a monthly subscription fee. I can't find anything official from Blizzard one way or the other, but that appears to be the general concensus as well....

Yep, that's what Blizzard said. Less than 12hrs left to get as many runs done as possible before the beta closes. I'll be removing the beta client after F@H finishes it's current WU and loading the release client.

I'll give props to Blizzard, they are the only company that has a beta running for almost 8 months. So there should be ABSOLUTELY no reason for piss poor gameplay come the 15th.

I didn't play the beta too much because I want to save it for the final product, but from what I experienced so far, I think the game is in solid shape(except for the exclusion of arena at launch).

No....but give them 18 months and they'll make up for the lack of piss poor game play.....lol
Blizzard has done well at tweaking WoW to near perfection just to turn around and completely screw it up again. I'm sure they can figure out a way to do the same with D3 given enough time.

Yeah I've had the installer for awhile now, it's a good idea to update it before May 15th as it's fairly out of date (I've updated the setup files 3x already).

Hey... look at games like Ragnarok Online. Think that game was in beta practically for YEARS before it left beta and went pay-to-play. Great game, though... although i don't think really any MMO can hold my attention for any given length of time. Even WoW... yea, i play it every now and again... but usually only for MAYBE a month after a new expansion comes out. That's about it.
Might pick up D3... have yet to decide. Kinda wishing i'd have jumped on that offer i saw on Newegg a few weeks back where they had it for like $47.99 after a promo code.

I'd quit wow before school back in August, started a full time job in January and almost started back up, but seeing Kung Fu Panda coming I decided it wasn't worth my effort.

MMOs as a whole are a timesink imo. I love playing them, but I am trying not to anymore. I play WoW just for arenas and I think that wouldn't qualify for a timesink.
Back to topic.... Pandaren is looking sharp idk...we will see.
